MDF is short
form of medium density fiberboard because it is produced from fiberboard which
is same to particle board. As opposite from veneers or particles MDF is manufactured
from wood fibers which is dry-processed fiberboard. MDF is smooth from the both
side and it is denser than plywood and particleboard.
Properties of MDF:-
Durability
If
continually wet than the glue bond of MDF is breakdown and fungal attack may be
happen so MDF is intended for use in moist. MDF Boards may be created with fungicide accompaniment or have a
brush on post therapy defensive to conserve against surface form which even
though are not wood spoiling , will cause a calm amount of surface deformity under
wet conditions.
Moisture properties
MDF will react
to alteration in concerning moisture of the environmental air. MDF should be reached
the moisture level in which it is to be used. Moisture contents will usually be
in the range 10 - 12% when used in buildings destined for human control.
MDF is reconstructed
into wood sheets in a collection of lengths and widths. Under heat and pressure
through the addition of synthetic resin adhesives the bonding of MDF is created.
MDF is accessible in an inclusive range of
density, dimensions and breadth based on the type of its use.
