Medium Density Fiberboard is an effected wood material manufactured by binding combined wood fibers with a synthetic resin adherent. MDF is built basically the identical method as particle board which is by attaching the fibers combined together with a resin and then condensing the board under heat, later the board is cut into apropos lengths after it has dried. The most familiar binder for boards destined for dry surroundings is urea-formaldehyde.
The resin which are used in this fiberboard is harmful and toxic and because the fibers are so excellent they are very smooth to breathe in so the trees should be cut in a well open and airy area or elsewhere with a dirt amassing system. MDF is intensely flexible and can be produced and manufactured to a high standard. As a conclusion, MDF has redressed solid timber as a low-cost alternative in a wide range of applications across industry.
Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) is widely used in:
- Kitchen cabinets
- Furniture
- Laminate flooring
- Moulding
- Millwork
- Door parts
- It is cost efficient
- It has no natural error or defects
- It's available in several sizes
- It can be easily manufactured
